Travel, Health, & Safety Checklist & Reminders
The safety of our attendees and presenters continues to be a top
priority for the Psychometric Society. In making the decision to
host a live meeting, we carefully weighed the risks and benefits
and believe that, with the appropriate precautions, the IMPS 2022
Meeting can safely take place with minimal risk to our attendees.
To this end, we will follow the guidelines of the European Centre
for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDPC), the CDC, as well as
any applicable regulations of the Italian Ministry of Health, the
host university or local government agencies. We will work with
the University and Local Committee to facilitate social
distancing, and to make sure that meeting areas, and public areas
are regularly cleaned and sanitized. For those traveling
from other countries, you should be aware of any COVID related
travel issues from your country of origin, including possible
testing, vaccination, quarantine, or self isolation protocols
when returning after the meeting.

a negative COVID-19 test result OR documentation of recovery

Additionally at this time, mask wearing is only optional to IMPS
attendees at the conference venue as the Italian Ministry of
Health only requires masks in Italy airports, ships,
ferries, trains, buses, as well as their hospital and clinics.
More details can be found here. The
Society will continue to watch these mandates and inform
attendees if the mask requirement changes to be worn mandatory
while in meeting rooms, lecture halls, event spaces, and/or
indoor public areas.
The Society will continue to strive to set up meeting rooms,
reception areas, poster areas, registration areas, and public
spaces that are under our control in a way that will facilitate
appropriate social distancing.
We still strongly encourage all of our members and attendees to
obtain a vaccination prior to coming to the meeting. In many
countries, vaccines are free and available through your
primary care provider, as well as through pharmacies and
clinics.
As the pandemic continues to evolve and we get closer to IMPS
2022, we will continue to closely monitor the situation and will
modify our plan to provide the best balance between safety and
accessibility.
Please note that, in following guidelines and regulations, we may
still be required to modify attendee requirements. This may
include requiring proof of vaccination to attend the meeting and
participate. At this time, this is not a requirement, but any
updates will continued to be posted on this page, as well as
emailed to those who have registered for the meeting.
