IMPS 2022 Poster Assignment
Date/Time
Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at 5:20pm – 6:40pm (17:20-18:40)
Presenters may set-up their posters prior to the actual Poster Session event, starting on Tuesday, July 12, between 9:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., or Wednesday, July 13 between 9:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
On Wednesday, July 13, presenters should arrive at their posters five to ten minutes prior to the Poster Session beginning. Each presenter must stand with their poster from 5:20 p.m. and 6:40 p.m. If a presenter needs to step away during this timeframe please be brief.
Presenters have the option to remove their poster following the session event on Wednesday, no later than 7:00 p.m. Otherwise, posters may remain on display through the following morning coffee break. All posters must be removed no later than Thursday, July 14, by 11:00 a.m. Any posters not removed by this timeframe will be kept at the conference registration desk area until Friday, July 15, at 12:00 noon, after which time they will be recycled by the University.
Requirements
The poster boards are vertical (portrait-style) this year. There will be one poster assigned per board. Each presenter will have their own poster number assignment.
All posters are recommended to be printed approximately 70 cm (width/base) x 100 cm (height). This is approximately 27.56 inches or 2.30 feet (width/base) x 39.37 inches or 3.28 feet (height). Posters may be printed smaller than the recommended size, but must NOT exceed 2.5 feet (width/base) x 3.5 feet (height).
Poster tacks/pins will be provided on site to hang each poster. (Note: Some sample pictures of this year’s provided poster board are shared below.)
Tips
Presenters may want to bring additional literature to post with poster. An envelope is helpful in which to hang additional materials. Another option is to include a QR code in the poster graphics that links to a paper or more detailed information.
Posters will be read from a distance. Charts, drawings, and illustrations should be similar to those you would use in making slides. Text should be in a large typeface.
In case this is your first poster presentation, check out tutorials such as those found here and here.
Poster Printing
Poster Printing service is available. New this year, presenters may pre-order their poster to be printed locally in Bologna and delivered to the University for a fee of Euro 28,00 + 22% VAT. Deadline to arrange for local poster printing and delivery must be requested no later than June 27.
