IMPS 2019 Excursion

Santiago City Tour – Wednesday, July 17, 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Join the Society and fellow conference goers on a half-day excursion to see some of Santiago’s best tourist points.  This excursion is included in all IMPS 2019 conference registration packages.

Transportation will depart from the Centro de Extensión UC on Wednesday, July 17 at 1:00 p.m. sharp! Attendees should meet in the Plaza Central between 12:15 p.m.-12:45 p.m. to load buses. Attendees will be bus-transferred to various tourist points around the city to be walked around by a professional tour guide, take in the views, and learn some history about the city. Note: This is a walking tour for a total of 2.5-3 hours.

1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. (Bus departs at 1:00 p.m. sharp!)

  • Palacio de la Moneda (Government Palace)
  • Constitution Square
  • Plaza de Armas (Main Square)
  • Central Market
  • Santa Lucia Hill
  • Bellavista

3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Bus transfers all attendees to Sky Costanera

4:30 p.m. to 6:45 p.m.

Sky Costanera 360 View Point & free time at Costanera Center

5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. (Last bus departs at 7:00 p.m. sharp!)

Following the walking tour, attendees will be transferred by bus to the Sky Costanera 360 degree viewpoint building located in the downtown area of Santiago. Attendees will receive an entrance ticket to explore the Sky Costanera Center and enjoy the spectacular 360 views. Attendees are welcome to exit the Sky Costanera to utilize the transportation back to the Crowne Plaza Hotel that will be available until 7:00 p.m., or explore the downtown area and arrange transportation on their own back to the hotel.
