The
University of Wisconsin – Madison Quantitative Methods Program in
the Department of
Educational Psychology seeks a tenure-track faculty member
whose research focuses on advancing methodologies in
psychometrics and statistical modeling, with a particular
emphasis on the interface of data science and educational,
psychological, or behavioral measurement. Ideal candidates will
have a strong record of contributions to development,
application, and critical assessment of machine learning or
artificial intelligence tools to support measurement in
educational contexts, as well as a commitment to teaching and
mentoring students from our department. Areas of specific
interest include integration of machine learning methods with
measurement models, computational psychometrics, natural language
processing, and innovative approaches to assessment design,
delivery, and scoring. We seek a candidate whose work not only
advances theoretical knowledge but also has practical
implications for improving educational practices and outcomes.
