Call for Proposals: IMPS 2024 Graduate Research Competition
The 2024 IMPS Graduate Student Research Competition calls for proposals on the use of generative AI, such as ChatGPT, to advance psychometric research. The competition is open to all graduate students who can form teams of up to 5 people. Each team is required to submit a proposal outlining their study design, research questions, data sources or collection plan, and analysis methods.
Students have until May 27, 2024 to submit their proposals, which will be evaluated by a panel of judges. The three top teams will be invited to give a presentation at IMPS 2024. To receive full consideration, at least one member from the team needs to register for IMPS 2024 by May 15, 2024 and agree to present at the conference in July. Judges will select a winning team from the three top teams based on the submitted proposal and conference presentation. The winner will be announced at the award session. One can only participate in no more than one team.
The award comes with a certificate and a cash prize of $2000, co-sponsored by the Psychometric Society and the Vector Psychometric Group, LLC.
